Start with a 14-day trial. Continue free with 1 agent and up to 100 tickets per month.

What’s included and how to use it

  1. Open the “Start here” sheet for an introduction to the Helpdesk app, its features and launch links.
  2. Use the second tab, “Tickets”, for the register, automatic status summaries and instructions. Replace the five clearly marked SAMPLE tickets with your own requests.
  3. Fill in ticket ID, subject, category, requester, assigned agent, priority, status, created date, due date and notes. Amber cells highlight the input area.
  4. Use the category, priority and status dropdowns. Duplicate IDs are highlighted in red.
  5. Add rows inside the Excel table as needed. Press Tab in the last table cell to extend it, and copy an existing row to retain dropdowns. Status summaries include additional rows.

The app introduction and launch links are protected. The ticket register is unprotected so you can add rows. The workbook uses native Excel links and has no macros.

Excel works well for a small support list. You still need to update it manually, coordinate edits and follow up on deadlines yourself. Ticket Helpdesk helps when requests need shared queues, agent assignments, SLAs and a central history.
